It also features a Knowledge Development Center, that provides technology training for the the ICT industry.

Institution Primary Interest and/or Priorites: Plan Ceibal manages the "one-laptop-per-child" program (OLPC) in Uruguay. The program is expected to have a very important impact in the medium term: each student in the Public School System has its own laptop computer connected to the Internet. The program is currently expanding into the Public High School System.
