The EU's Seventh Framework Programme is the largest in the world with a budget of more than €53.5 billion for 2007-2013.
It is divided into 4 sub-programmes:
COOPERATION: that supports research in trans-national cooperation, e.g. in the ICT programme. The ICT programme is the biggest sub-programme with a budget of about 9 billion EUR.
