A number of Science & Technology (S&T) Cooperation Agreements have been signed between the EU and individual Latin American countries:

These Agreements create "a predictable institutional foundation for a wide variety of knowledge centred cooperation", amongst others cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT).
